Most wedding day stress is
caused by lack of organization. Here are some tips to help you
get through your big day.
1. Take a suitcase out
3 weeks prior to your wedding. When you think of something you
need for getting ready on the wedding day, put it in the suitcase.
Ask your man to do the same. Ask your bridesmaids to bring ONE
suitcase for all of their things to get ready. This will ensure
that each girl knows the exact location of everything they need.
2.
Ban all plastic and paper shopping bags. Not only do they look
terrible in photos, but they tend to multiply over and over again
to create a sea of bags in the getting ready room. Countless
minutes (sometimes even hours) can be wasted searching through
shopping bags only to find that the item has been forgotten,
lost in the sea of bags at home.
3. Keep an additional
suitcase with wheels by the door of your home two weeks
prior to the wedding. When you think of something for the reception
or ceremony (favors, toasting glasses, candles, etc), put it
in the suitcase.
4. If you have a lace
up back on your dress, add an extra 30 minutes to your original getting
ready time.
5. Keep a business card for each of your wedding
vendors in a business card file or holder. Call all of your
vendors to confirm two weeks before your wedding. This will
give you peace of mind.
6. If you know one of your family
members is not responsible, do not assign time-sensitive tasks to
that person.
